Floppy ears, how to tape them correctly, light weight that doesn't bother the puppy at all but gives correct support to the ears where they needed!

Please make sure you read the article before watching the video.  The video is without sound. We have seen many different ways to tape ears on puppies that need some help. Surgical glue, tampons, Dr.Schultz tapes etc. Some work some don't.
What we have found works best for us is what you will see on the video. First we want to tell you few important details. What you need :

1. athletic tape
2. foam isolation for pipes
3. the reason you want to tape the foam itself is so the ear does not get sweaty
4. do not cut the tape of after you've taped the foam, use it to go over the ear, this way the tape will keep everything in place
5. always begin taping from the inside of the head around to the outside (both ears)
6. after both ears are taped , position them in a natural stand and use separate tape to keep them that way.
7. the ears should not touch or be too far appart
8. the tape that goes around both ears should not get stuck over the top of the head

Some parts of the video are slowed down so you can see the details

Before taping:

Make sure the dogs ears are healthy ! No irritation, or infections of any kind should be present. Make sure you keep the taped years dry, in case the ears do get wet we suggest to be re-taped. Make sure other puppies / dogs do not play with the taped years. Make sure to change the tape if one of the ears is becoming too loose, or if you see the puppy scratching it often. Using this method the ears should not get irritated so it can be kept taped for four-six days at a time if needed.
